Villa Estrella is located within walking distance (1,5 km) of Constantina, the capital of the Sierra Norte. This charming traditional white town with its typical Andalucian arquitecture still bears a clear print of its interesting past with its Arab Fortress and its Moorish village better known as La Moreria. Constantina is a lovely town and very suitable for a stroll in the morning or at the end of the day.

There is a beautiful church and a pedestrian area in the centre of the town, as well as a boulevard, where locals meet for a drink. The town offers a variety of good restaurants and tapas bars serving the traditional dishes of the area. There is a daily market for fish, meat and vegetables and many small shops. Constantina has its own bull ring where bull fights are still being held, but it also serves as an open-air cinema in the summer.

For example the local feria and the processions with the Virgin of the town are very famous. The season for the local festivities starts with Eastern and ends at the end of September.
